ahead of chinese new year celebrations, professor liang yingxiu, party secretary and dean of law school, ms. guo yating, deputy secretary of party committee, and ms. liu hang, director of college office, on behalf of all the teachers and students of beijing normal university law school, visited professor gao mingxuan, who is an educator, honorary dean of college for criminal law science of bnu and chief expert of beijing normal university, and sent blessings to professor gao mingxuan for the spring festival on january 29th.
dean liang yingxiu first introduced to professor gao mingxuan the achievements of law school in discipline construction, personnel training and other aspects in the past year, as well as the deployment of “double first-class” discipline construction in the college, and expressed his gratitude to professor gao mingxuan for his long-term support and assistance to the law discipline of beijing normal university. professor gao mingxuan affirmed the development and achievements of law school in recent years, thanked all the teachers and students of the school for their thoughts and blessings, and hoped that the law school of beijing normal university would continue to uphold the spirit “educate talents through moral education and practice law across the world”, so as to cultivate more outstanding and high-quality legal talents for the party and the country.
with a pure and strong sense of patriotism, professor gao mingxuan, relying on his profound academic attainments, broad academic perspective and rigorous scholarship and realistic spirit, still works hard and explores for the development of socialist rule of law at the age of 94. the third german version of the birth and development of the criminal law of the people’s republic of china, which is a masterpiece of criminal law with the academic value of literature legislation, compiled by professor gao mingxuan, was published in early 2022, and the russian, english and korean versions are being published one after another. the 10th edition of criminal law, edited by professor gao mingxuan and professor ma kechang, has also been revised. in addition, professor gao mingxuan is also explaining the spirit of “filling young minds with knowledge and cultivating talents” with practical actions. since 1986, professor gao mingxuan has trained more than 50 excellent doctoral students in criminal law. some of his students have made great achievements in the academic field, while others hold important positions in the legal practice department. the students are deeply inspired by the spirit of professor gao mingxuan and are contributing to the construction and development of the socialist legal cause.
since the establishment of the law school of beijing normal university, the older jurists represented by professor gao mingxuan have given the school mutual and selfless help. on the occasion of the lunar new year in 2022, all the teachers and students of the law school wish them a happy new year, a healthy and long life!
